Veneers in Portage Park

“A smile is the prettiest thing you can ever wear”

Douglas Adams
Veneers are very thin porcelain covers that go over your teeth to improve or enhance the appearance (the shape, size and shade) of your teeth.  Veneers can be extremely conservtative, as thin as .3mm in thickness (about the thickness of a contact lens).   We work with the most talented, highly trained and world known ceramists to give you a result that is as close as possible to mother nature.

What to expect

1st appointment

We will begin the series of photographs and impressions to make a mold for a ceramist to create waxed “blue print” of your restorations

2nd appointment

We begin the preparation of your teeth for the veneers.  Most of the time, no anesthesia is needed, but occasionally patients do request it.  Once the preparation is complete, we will take an impression of your teeth and register a bite.  Our very skilled and highly trained assistants will fabricate a beautiful temporary restoration for you to wear in the time your permanent is being designed.  Depending on which ceramist we will choose to work on your case, we might send you to visit one locally for a consultation and or a shade match

3rd appointment

This is the exciting appointment as we get to cement the final restorations.  By the end of your appointment your gums might feel a bit irritated from all the cement cleanup, so we would like for you to come back in a few week for the final photograph of your teeth when your smiles will look healthiest
